a sad break up.

I dont know how to title this one. M&M broke up today. It is really sad for me because they are both of my best friends. I really thought that they could work. I guess know one knows what goes on in your heard except yourself. I wish both of them the best. I hope that they both meet people that are wonderful like they both are. I hope that both do not hurt for long. My heart hurts for them. How hard is it to tell someone that you know loves you that you dont love them? At the same time, how hard is it to wake up to the man you love and think you will spend the rest of your life with telling you that he really doesnt love you? I cant imagine what they are going thru and I am just really sad tonight. I mean I thought one of my best friends was going to be my sister and that we were all going to be one big happy family! And our husbands would be best of friends because they are inseperable and we would just have a good ol time. Such is life. :(

Dr appt

oh ya! I totally forgot to mention my dr appointment the other day. I went in for a preconceptual exam last week. I got a few blood tests done to check my throid and all of that, but no results yet. I am supposed to go back soon after ovulation to get another test done....also maybe a pregnancy test! That would be cool. Ok consider yourself updated.

I love saturday

I have been spending the day with DH and it is great. We went to lowes and got some flowering shurbs for the backyard. Hopefully we will be able to hang out back there soon. We also got some more flowers for the front yard....as if I did not have enough already. We went to target and I got some cool lanterns to hang outside (also for backyard BBQ's the summer). I am not currently planted on the couch listening to what sounds like a war going on in my house....in all actuality it is just DH playing call of duty (I really hate this game). We might go to alamodrafthouse tonight....or we might just make some steak on the grill and watch a movie at home. All in all it has been a pretty good day. Tomorrow we are goin to San Antonio to my little sisters 17th birthday party......get this....at Peter Piper Pizza.....I so thought she was cooler then that. Hee hee jk. Happy Saturday!

Holy Hail Batman! ==and my bday

We had a birthday party for me last night. We also had a hail storm! It was crazy. We had like golf ball sized hail at our house! I am hoping this is Gods birthday present to me. I still own three years worth of payments on my 01 beetle that has over a hundred thousand miles on it. Hopefully it will total.
My birthday was great. My best friend was in town, and while it is sad that he is gone now and I wont get to see him for awhile, it made my day that he was here. Shawn made fajitas, matthew made margaritas, my step mom, dad and brother, JD, travis, nikki and jordon, all came over for dinner and that made me feel really special. Shawn, Matthew, Doug and I went bowling after, which was really fun. It was fun to hang out with some of my bestfriends on my birthday.
At the bowling alley, we saw like 5 windshields busted out because of the hail, It was freaking crazy. My old boss wants me to work for him on the weekends because they are going to be so busy there!

Papa passed away this week

Papa passed away thursday morning. He was found in a chair at the nursing home slumped over with no pulse. He was rushed to the emergency room and they got a pulse on him. He passed away shortly after all of his kids and my little sister got to go in and say goodbye to him. He was a great grandfather and will be greatly missed. There will be a visitation on sunday and the funeral will be monday at 1. I am comforted by the fact that I know he is not in pain anymore and that he passed in his sleep. He was a good man.

My Mother drove me to your house.
Opening the door to your house was different then before.

her pain apparent in her face

and “He was so young”
but I did not want to hear that then.
It makes everything so final,as if your death can be postponed.
I tried to go see you.
I could not.
I am sorry for that, and I miss you a lot.

Your mom came downstairs,
and went to her room.
You would be proud.
She is being so strong,
so strong for who?

They brought you downstairs and out of the house,

Last weekend of january 09

This weekend has been fabulous. No drama. Shawn and I had a wonderful day spent together saturday. My parents came over and helped us in the font yard which just make's me smile when I walk up. The rest of the day was just us. We went to dinner at Chuy's ad neverything was just wonderful. The salsa was great. The strawberry margarita was great. The enchiladas were great. Shawn and I just really enjoyed being together and I think it was a much needed good evening. We went to and say the new Underworld movie after and had a great time! Ok so I am saying great to much.
Today we went to lunch with matthew and mallory. Then Mallory and I have a girls day. We went and scooped out a place for her reception site, which I think might be a really good spot for them. We went to the domain after that and had fun shopping. I got a new pair of sneakers from aldo for 20 bucks! They were on sale from 60! I was so happy becuase my other ones were falling about. We then went and got a few chick flicks and a pizza. We ate the whole thing!!! hee hee oh well, we had a good time.
Shawn is at his brothers super bowl party, so I thought now was a good time to update this. My classes are going good as of now. My life is feeling balanced. I am in no way bored with anything because I am still very busy. I just fill very fulfilled. I love that I am helping my sister. I love spending time with her and my nephew. Maybe this is just me being in a great mood or something but I just feel balanced and content with where I am right now. I hope my mood stays this way!
